APD K-9 Dog Training Certification

Earlier this year, the APD K-9 Unit received funds from ACPAAA to send one of their handlers, Officer Radford, to Tarheel Canine Training for dog training certification. The last APD K-9 Unit trainer retired in 2021, so the team has been in a rebuilding phase. Join us this month to learn the benefits of the ACPAAA donation in a challenging fiscal environment, an overview of Tarheel Canine and Officer Radford’s experience, a discussion about dog learning theory and ways to train, video and picture examples of the dog training and new dog purchased, plus a ‘meet and greet’ with K-9 “Bolo.”
